Meet our Jackson Natives!

Joe Parker // President

Joe grew up in Petoskey and came to Jackson to work at Automated Logistics Systems after attending the University of Notre Dame. He’s gotten involved with the Jackson community by serving on the board at Lumen Christi High School and staying involved with his children’s elementary schools.

Matt Eckler // VP of Operations

Matt believes that Jackson not only offers him a great location to work but also allows the company to attract and retain local talent. He enjoys its central location and thriving downtown area, which provides many entertainment options for people across different lifestyles.

Alyssa Harris // Senior Operations Specialist

Alyssa attended Hanover Horton High and Jackson Community College before finishing her degree at Central Michigan.  Now, she spends her free time coaching the JV girls’ basketball team at Hanover Horton and taking advantage of the fact that Biggby Coffee is only five minutes away from her house.

Brian Potts // Implementation Manager

Born and raised in Jackson, Brian attended Hillsdale Academy and later Grand Valley State.  He moved back after school to be with his friends and family and loves getting out to play soccer at Ella Sharp Park each week.

Carianne Goodwin // Credit and Collections Manager

Carianne came to Jackson in 1993 and attended Jackson Community College and Siena Heights. Now, her kids attend Western High School and she loves getting to raise them in a small-town environment.

Chris Strecker // Senior Account Manager

Chris grew up attending public schools in the Jackson area. After spending thirteen years away from Jackson for college and work, he returned in 2015 to be closer to his family.  While he is now involved with organizations like the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and the Alzheimer’s Association, his favorite thing to do in Jackson will always remain getting ice cream at The Parlour.

John Spranger // Account Manager

John attended Jackson High School and later Michigan State University. His favorite part about growing up in Jackson was participating in city youth hockey, a program that is rarely offered in other cities. He strongly believes that Jackson offers many opportunities for kids to develop their abilities and pursue their ambitions.

Keith Schmidt // 3PL Account Manager

Keith grew up in Tompkins Center and considers himself a country kid at heart (even though he can’t stand country music). After attending Northwest High School and Jackson Community College, he worked at Alro Steel before coming to Automated Logistics. He likes to spend his time playing disc golf and going out on the lakes with his family. When his old friends ask why he’s still in Jackson, he simply tells them, “It’s home.”

Nick Schaefer // Director of Operations

Nick attended Hanover Horton High School and Jackson Community College before later transferring to Central Michigan. Nick enjoys taking his family to the various inland lakes, parks, and golf courses in the area and likes that while Jackson is in a central location, it doesn’t carry the traffic and feel of larger cities.

Nicole Banister // Carrier Sales Representative

Nicole is a Jackson native who attended Northwest High School and later Jackson College. She loves watching the community come together to make changes that help the city become a cleaner and safer environment.

Sarah Nortley // Carrier Sales Representative

Sarah graduated from Vandercook Lake High in ’96 and just recently enrolled in Jackson College to finish up her degree. She loves being able to raise her kids in a city that still has a small-town vibe and enjoys kayaking on the nearby rivers.

Yvonne Weidner // Operations Lead

Yvonne grew up in the Jackson area and has invested in the community by volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Future Farmers of America. Though she’s moved away twice, she has realized that her roots will always be in Jackson and has since returned home to be with her friends and family.
